CHAT INSIGHT GUIDE
Is What Brandon Thinks Safe? A Chat Report Privacy Checklist
A chat report should explain what file is read, what text leaves your device, how long the report stays available, and how to delete it. A Little Love for You parses supported exports in your browser; after consent, it sends a representative text sample to its configured AI provider and stores a preview privately for up to 24 hours.
What does “safe” mean for an AI chat report?
There is no single safety label that answers every privacy question. Before choosing any chat-analysis service, find out whether the original file leaves your device, which message fields are sent for analysis, who receives them, how reports are stored, and how you can remove them. A report’s interpretation also needs limits: message patterns are not proof of intent or access to another person’s private thoughts.
What happens to a chat on A Little Love for You?
- Local parsing: supported WhatsApp, iMessage, Instagram, and Messenger exports are read in your browser. The original file is not uploaded or saved.
- Consent before AI processing: only after you request a report, a representative sample of up to 360 messages, participant names, and available timestamps is sent to the AI provider configured for the service. The report language and selected conversation context are also used.
- Temporary preview: for a visitor who is not signed in, the report preview and content are stored in Cloudflare D1 for up to 24 hours. A private HttpOnly cookie protects the report API; the preview can be deleted sooner from its page.
- Optional account save: sign in only when you choose to save or unlock the report. It is then linked to your account and can be deleted from its private page.
The configured AI provider handles its request under its own terms and privacy practices. Avoid including secrets, financial details, health information, or messages you do not have permission to share. The complete details are in the privacy policy.
What should you check before uploading?
- Remove messages or details that are not needed for the question you want to reflect on.
- Confirm you have permission to use the conversation export.
- Read the consent statement and provider disclosure before asking for a report.
- Use the report’s quoted message excerpts to check whether each finding matches the surrounding conversation.
- Delete the private preview if you do not want to keep it; the guest link expires after 24 hours.
Images, reactions, and voice notes are not analyzed. Text exports may also omit tone, context, and events that happened outside the conversation.
What retention details does What Brandon Thinks (.org) publish?
Its public safety page says transcripts are scheduled for deletion after 48 hours when no report is created, or seven days after the latest report. It describes reports as separate records that remain until deleted and says users can remove them sooner from the account page. These are the service’s published descriptions; review its current privacy page and account controls before uploading.
A stated retention window does not make every upload appropriate. Avoid sending material that you do not need analyzed, and consider whether everyone in the conversation would reasonably expect this use.
Is this the official What Brandon Thinks site?
No. A Little Love for You is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by What Brandon Thinks. Its chat insight page is a separate service with its own export formats, report preview, data handling, and published prices. The What Brandon Thinks service reviewed here is at whatbrandonthinks.org.
